“ Service was great! They do not take reservations so on the weekends go as early as you can! Our wait on a Saturday night was about 2.5 hours. Food was delicious!!! And the drinks were also so yummy. Small restaurant, but doesn't feel cramped ”
“ Don't even try to get in on a Sat night, unless you are there when they open. It was a 2 1/2 wait. Nope. They opened at 4 on Sunday and we were there at 4:03 and there was a line. It was raining and they led us right back to the back patio without even asking us if we wanted to sit outside or inside. This was not ok. Some of the tables were wet and we had to change table to avoid the slanting steady rain. We thought we had to eat in our rain parkas, however they put the heaters on above us and we were quickly warm..actually too warm. The heater was melting the ice in our drinks With all this being said, the pizzas were fantastic! No complaints from any of the 6 of us. We all had something different and we all loved our pizzas. Chandler, our server, was attentive and explained their pizzas since it was our first time. There are no substitutions for any of their pizzas. You can add toppings, but pizzas will come as is in the descriptions. The crust is thin, crisp and yummy! They have special knives to cut the pizzas! All we want to know is how do we get to sit inside?!? ”
“ Great waitress! We went with the (half) meter Monday. You get three pizzas in one. Perfect size for our party of four. Oddly they put the vegetarian pizza in the middle between the meat pizzas. Drinks were fine. We were seated right by the oven and next to a window where we could see them rolling the dough. It sounds cool but was a bit awkward. We'd probably go back if we visit SLO again. ”
“ The ambiance was amazing on their patio with multiple heaters to keep you warm. We had a gluten-free pizza which was absolutely delicious and reminded us of the pizza we had in Italy. The service was great. Definitely recommend this place to stop in for dinner. ”
“ We did bar seating because the wait was really long, but bar seating is first come first serve. Inside is cute and cozy, the bar seating was totally fine and nice with fresh air. We got the gran patata cocktail which was fantastic and the lust peachy mocktail. Also super yummy The parmigiana was delicious and I could've done with another serving! Otto pizza was super delicious as well. Overall a great experience! ”
“ This place is spectacular! Be prepared for a wait if you don't get there early, but don't let that be your reason not to go. The food is just amazing and they will text you when your table is ready, so you can go wander the nearby shops to pass the time. We did arrive fairly early and were told it would be about 15 minutes before we could be seated. It actually took less than 10 minutes, and we were seated in the back patio area. Plenty of heaters, so the evening chill wasn't even a consideration. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us with cocktail choices and even narrowing down our pizza choice. It was near impossible to choose because everything sounded so interesting and the food coming out to the tables around us looked amazing. Don't shy away from sharing dishes, and don't miss dessert!! ”
“ From the host to the kitchen every level of the staff has professionalism and kindness. The bar serves amazing drinks and a nice spot to eat a meal if no seats are available. The staff is always willing to suggest tasty options that will please anyone. Always a crowd pleaser ”
“ Great pizza experience, with a wide range of combinations and signature pizzas. It's worth exploring the rest of the menu, the Gnocchetti is a family favorite, and I love that they will let you add marinated anchovies or chicken to the Caesar. Although it is the style of their dough and pizza, occasionally the crust can be too thin, to the point where it loses any texture and gets a bit lost in the sauce. It's been a debate among our usual party for a while, but in the last two years, we've agreed there has been a small dip in the consistency of the crust. Occasionally, weekday service can be a bit of a letdown, but they have some great veteran staff that always manage to bolster the experience, even when there's an issue. This location is definitely a loud, lively spot, so if you prefer a quieter dining experience, try for a patio seat (just don't be frustrated if it's full). Always happy for a great SLO spot, and can't wait to be back! ”
“ Heard this place was top 100 in the US. It's good! The service was really great--friendly and thoroughly helpful. I was curious why they served the pizzas uncut & she explained it before I even asked. Seems pretty cool that they do that! Eating pizza with a fork & knife is something different. I think I prefer just your classic slized mainstream pizza more than the Napoletana style pizza. For Napoletana style pizza though, this pizza was definitely top tier. We had the Queen Margherita, which I think has its cheese imported from Italy? Kinda fun. And then I think we tried the burrata antipasto which was really good as well. They were pretty similar to each other, just with some extra things on top of the antipasto one. We also got a glass of wine which was good! I figured it would be good since we're close to wine country. Romantic vibes, classy, good spot for a date. Glad we got to try this place! ”
“ Quality/Quantity - Simple menu done well. Pizzas and pasta are made in-house. Mezzi Paccheri Alla Genovese - Good, but could have had more quantity, especially for the price. Autunno - Our favorite, this was amazing. Why do you NOT cut your pizzas? 19th Top - Interesting, basic, and good. They also have a "Stefano Ferrara Oven," 1000 degrees. Part of the reason their pizzas taste so good and have such a nice texture. My daughter used to come here on Meter Mondays, a good way to try all their pizzas at one time. Of course it helps when you come with a large group. Wine, beer, and full bar available. But it does not apply to us as we were not able to get a table and we ordered to go. Atmosphere - Small location. This place is always busy, even when their competitors are not. We could not get a table again, so had to order to-go. No reservations available. Indoor and "outdoor" counter seating. Table, bar, etc. seating. They do have a rear covered heated outdoor patio dining. Clean organized bathroom. Open 6 days a week, from 4pm to 9pm or 9:30pm; closed Tuesdays. Service - This is where they suffered. When we got here at 8pm, the hostess told us a 2 hour wait??? But won't you be closed by then??? So we ordered to-go. Then of course we saw people get seated after us but before we got our to-go order. So we could have waited and eaten here. Price - $87, expensive for what we got, but that is also the price for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016. It would be nice to have a reservation system, but I get it with your success, there is no need for one. ”
